Q – I’ve never raced before, which category is right for me?

A – Young riders (18 and under, boys and girls) should definitely race Juniors. Field sizes are smaller (generally <15 riders) and it’s more geared towards development than competitiveness (yet it’s still a race!).

For riders 35 or older, there's a Masters B category geared towards the beginner to novice riders that want to try out racing against racers of similar age.

For everyone else, Category 5 is where you start out if you’re new to racing.
Women new to the sport get to race Women Cat 4. (I say ‘get to’ because they seem to have the most fun!)

Q – I don’t have a USAC Annual License. Which races can I do?

A – If you don’t hold an Annual License, you must purchase a 1-day license (good for both Sat and Sun) for $10. 1-day licensees may only race Cat 5 Men, Cat 4 or Masters Women, Masters B, or Juniors.

Q – I'd like to register early, but what happens if I upgrade categories between when I register and April 10th?

A – No problem.  Just let us know your category has changed ASAP and we'll adjust your entry appropriately - free of charge.  (You will need to supply supporting documentation from an upgrade or regional coordinator if it hasn't been updated with USAC.  We will verify any change requests against the USAC rider database.)

Q – What is Masters B?

A – Masters 35+ B is a category inteded as a group for older beginner or novice racers that don't wish to mix it up with the younger guys.  This groups if for Cat 4 and 5 racers only.

Q – I’m a Junior racing in a Senior Category. Can I race for the Junior price?

A – In an effort for encourage Juniors to race and to increase the size of the Junior field, the $30 Junior entry applies only to rider racing in the Junior category.

Q – I can only race Saturday, is there an option to register for just one day?

A – Yes.  Registration to race Saturday only (just Stages 1 & 2) for available for $65.  If you sign up to race Saturday only, you will not be able to change your entry to race Sunday after April 5th, so if there is any possibility of racing on Sunday as well, you should enter normally.

You must Mail-in registration to race Saturday only (the option is not available at online registration).

This option is not available for Cat 1/2 Men or Cat 1/2/3 Women.

Q – Is there a deadline for mail-in or drop-off registrations?

Final pickup for entries dropped off at Millcreek Bicycles will be on Tuesday Morning, April 6th.  However registration will be available at Millcreek Bicycles on Thursday during packet pickup.

Q – Can I FAX or e-mail in a registration?

A – No. Mail-in registrations can only be paid for by check, which must be snail mailed. Credit Card users must use online registration.
